The best meals on the beaches of Mexico have two things: tequila and fresh shrimp. While you can’t travel to the beach right now, you can still savor the spices and flavors of Mexican cuisine in your own kitchen, and learning new stay at home chef recipes will have you ready for summer parties and picnics. Tequila shrimp captures the flavors of the Mexican coast, and while the alcohol cooks out of the recipe, cooking with tequila adds a little extra flair to delicious shrimp recipes. Use this recipe for a tequila shrimp ceviche, or simply serve the shrimp with the rich sauce and fresh vegetables, letting the aromatic flavor dazzle your taste buds.
Unlike other shrimp recipes with lots of batter and grease, a tequila lime shrimp recipe is a healthy option for juicy, flavorful seafood to put into any dish. You can serve it cut up and mixed with cucumber, tomato, and onion for a tequila shrimp ceviche, or serve it in a bowl with extra lime juice and veggies for a tequila shrimp cocktail. You can also top off a salad or pasta dish with sizzling shrimp, or serve them on soft tortilla with salsa. Add a little lime juice for a citrusy tequila lime shrimp recipe.
This particular tequila shrimp recipe is served with creamy sauce and a side of grilled vegetables. A trick for incredible stay at home chef recipes is a julienne cut. A French term for thin and long cuts of vegetables, this unique cut will make any delicious shrimp recipes look like they’re straight out of a cooking magazine. After peeling your vegetables, cut thin slabs that can be sliced into 1/8th inch thick strips. Add these into your tequila shrimp cocktail or a tequila lime shrimp recipe.

50 g of carrots (julienne cut)
50 g of red pepper (julienne cut)

2 cloves of garlic, previously chopped and soaked in 3 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the pan over low heat before adding 2 tablespoons of oil
