Health and Sanitation Program of Villa del Palmar Flamingos

TRAVEL UPDATES | Published on 22/05/2020
Optimizada villa del palmar flamingos preventive measures

For several months, Villa del Palmar Flamingos has been quiet. Before the Mexican government officially closed hotels, the resort took preventive measures and said goodbye to guests. Now that the government has announced the reopening of businesses, Villa del Palmar Flamingos is implementing new safety measures that will keep both staff and guests safe. As the coronavirus has not totally gone away, these security measures align with the best hotel safety tips, focusing on prevention and detection. With new infection control measures and increased standard cleaning and disinfection practices, guests will be able to return to their favorite destination for a relaxing vacation after a very difficult period.

By closing the doors of the resort early, Villa del Palmar Flamingos was a community leader in the fight against COVID-19, and while the guests were away, a limited number of staff were allowed on the property to do a deep disinfectant cleaning as well as some general maintenance and improvements. In addition, before allowing guests to return, certain infection control measures and new safety measures were implemented throughout the establishment so that the resort could welcome travelers back to the coast of Mexico.

Director of Operations for the Vallarta-Nayarit Region of The Villa Group Resorts, Alan Pujol, emphasized the importance of their new protocols. “At The Villa Group Resorts, we remain committed to keeping our guests, staff, and community safe. During this time, employees are being trained on the symptoms of the coronavirus, and everyone is abiding by the preventive measures, disinfectant cleaning standards, and good hygiene practices we have implemented at our resorts. By creating new security measures such as these, guests will be able to safely return to their favorite destination time and time again.”

While the resort has always been a home away from home for many families because of its elegant and comfortable facilities, the new standard cleaning and disinfection routines will focus on high traffic and touch areas throughout the resort because of the importance of cleanliness in fighting the spread of viruses. In addition to the usual resort cleaning, commonly touched surfaces like tables, desks, phones, lightswitches, doorknobs, and computers will undergo a disinfectant cleaning multiple times a day. The standard cleaning and disinfection of common areas, like lobbies, elevators, and dining rooms, will also be increased. Because of the importance of cleanliness in fighting the virus, these good hygiene practices are part of the new safety measures designed to stop the potential spread of COVID-19. While the usual resort cleaning services will continue, there will be an increased use of disinfectants.

The new security measures are also focused on keeping germs and viruses out of the resort so that you can relax safely by the pool and enjoy all the best of a Mexican vacation. In alignment with the best hotel safety tips, one of the first infection control measures you’ll notice is noninvasive temperature checks for all guests and employees arriving at the hotel. If anyone is presenting symptoms of the virus, there are set security measures that will be taken to ensure the safety of all guests and staff members. To help keep the virus out of the hotel, employees will also be given freshly laundered uniforms to change into when they arrive at the resort as precautionary measures. These infection control measures will hopefully detect and keep viruses from entering the resort.

While you’ll still be able to relax by the pool, take long walks on the beach, and enjoy your favorite Mexican dishes, there are a few other preventive measures you’ll notice around the hotel. Antibacterial hand gel will be available throughout the resort for your own good hygiene practices, and the maximum capacity in different common areas will be lower than usual. To comply with the best hotel safety tips, certain services in the resort will also be altered. Because of the precautionary measures, valet parking, direct meal preparation, and room service will have new guidelines. Despite these changes and new preventive measures, vacationing in a sumptuous suite on the coast of Mexico is still the ultimate escape.

Even with these new precautionary measures, you’ll still be able to enjoy the best of Mexico vacations. Fresh produce, authentic Mexican dishes, walks on the beach at sunset, and afternoons by the pool are the perfect ingredients for a beach vacation, and with the new resort cleaning protocols, you’ll feel safe throughout your stay. Knowing that the importance of cleanliness is being stressed throughout the resort, you’ll be able to kick back and unwind with a good book and tangy margarita.
